Who We Are
TREFF is a nonprofit foundation led by a team of trauma physicians and specialists dedicated to improving trauma care and reducing preventable injuries across California’s Central Valley. Through research, advocacy, education, community partnerships, and fund development, TREFF delivers evidence-based programs that strengthen the region’s trauma system and advance injury prevention. As a key partner of Community Regional Medical Center, home to the only Level I trauma center between Los Angeles and Sacramento. TREFF plays a vital role in leading the Central Valley Regional Trauma System.
TREFF is dedicated to prevention, timely response, and recovery. The foundation supports high-quality care and comprehensive rehabilitation for trauma survivors and their families. At its core, TREFF educates, trains, and empowers medical professionals, emergency response teams, schools, community organizations, and the public, helping individuals lead healthy, active lives that both save lives and reduce traumatic injuries due to preventable causes.
