About the Symposium
Overview
The Central California Annual Trauma Symposium is the region’s leading educational forum for advancing trauma, critical care, and emergency medicine. Featuring nationally and regionally recognized experts, the symposium delivers cutting-edge insights and evolving standards across disciplines to elevate the quality of patient care.
Attendees benefit from continuing education credits, hands-on learning, and valuable networking opportunities with fellow healthcare professionals dedicated to the interdisciplinary care of injured patients.
Statement of Need
As medical science and technology evolve at an unprecedented pace, clinical practices must keep up to ensure optimal outcomes for critically ill and injured patients. When bedside implementation lags behind innovation, patient outcomes may suffer.
This symposium is designed to bridge that gap by enhancing the knowledge, competence, and performance of providers who deliver daily trauma and critical care. Through a dynamic mix of didactic lectures, evidence-based updates, and keynote presentations, participants will gain both foundational knowledge and forward-thinking strategies to translate innovation into bedside excellence.
Learning Objectives
By the end of the program, participants will be able to:
- Apply emerging trends in trauma and critical care to emergency and ICU settings
- Integrate new therapies and early interventions to enhance patient outcomes
- Strengthen clinical decision-making through evidence-based strategies that yield measurable results
Target Audience
This symposium is tailored for healthcare professionals involved in the interdisciplinary care of critically injured patients, including:
- Critical Care and Emergency Room Nurses
- EMS Providers
- Emergency Physicians
- Intensivists
- Trauma Surgeons and Neurosurgeons
- Respiratory Therapists
- Clinical Researchers in Trauma and Critical Care
